The short answer
We repair Viking, Wolf and Thermador gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges in Los Angeles homes, and we also service Sub-Zero refrigeration. Common fixes include burners that click but don't light, ovens that run hot or cold, convection fan failures and control or error-code problems. We travel from our Van Nuys base to ZIP codes including 90004, 90005, 90010 and 90012.
A pro-style range that won't light, won't hold temperature, or shows an error code in the middle of dinner can stall a whole kitchen. Many Los Angeles kitchens pair a Sub-Zero refrigerator with a Viking, Wolf or Thermador range, and we repair that full lineup. Our technicians work on gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges in houses, condos and apartments across the city. We're an independent repair company with no affiliation to any of these brands. Our work is finding the actual fault, explaining it plainly, and fixing it on site whenever the part and the situation allow.
Range problems we see most in Los Angeles kitchens
High-end ranges are built to last, but they're still machines with igniters, valves, sensors, fans and boards that wear out. Most service calls involve one of a short list of symptoms, and each one points to a few likely causes we check in order.
When we arrive, we confirm the symptom first and test the components involved. A part gets replaced only after it fails a test. Guessing wastes your time and your money.
- Burners that click constantly, click without lighting, or light only after several tries
- Weak, yellow or uneven flames, or a burner that won't hold a simmer
- Oven that won't heat, heats slowly, or runs well above or below the set temperature
- Convection fan that's noisy or not turning
- Broiler or bake element not working on electric and dual-fuel ovens
- Self-clean cycles that stop partway or leave the door locked
- Control panel errors, unresponsive knobs or touch controls, and induction zones that won't recognize a pan
- Door hinges, gaskets and racks that no longer seal or slide properly

Gas, dual-fuel and induction: why diagnosis differs
An all-gas range relies on igniters, spark modules, safety valves and, in many ovens, a glow-bar igniter that has to draw enough current before the gas valve opens. A weak oven igniter is one of the most common reasons a gas oven heats slowly or not at all, and from the outside it can look like a gas supply problem.
Dual-fuel models, which both Viking and Wolf make in many sizes, put gas burners on top and an electric oven underneath. That means two separate systems. A dual-fuel range with perfect burners and a cold oven usually has an element, sensor, relay or control fault, not a gas issue.
Induction cooktops and ranges, including Thermador and Wolf models, depend on power boards, cooling fans and pan-detection electronics. Error codes help, but they often point to a group of possible faults rather than one part. We test voltage and components so the fix matches the real cause.
Before you schedule: safe checks you can do
A few quick checks can save a visit or help us arrive with the right parts. If you smell gas at any point, stop. Don't operate switches or burners, leave the home, and contact your gas utility from outside.
If none of these solve the problem, note the model and serial number, usually on a tag under the cooktop edge, behind the kick panel or inside the oven door frame. Write down any error code exactly as it appears.
- Burners clicking after a spill: remove the caps and let the burner heads dry completely, since moisture is a frequent cause
- Burner won't light: check that the cap is seated flat and the ports aren't clogged with food
- Oven or controls dead: check the breaker, and for gas models, that the range is plugged in, since the igniters need power
- Oven temperature off: confirm with a separate oven thermometer before assuming the control is wrong

Serving Los Angeles from our Van Nuys base
The city of Los Angeles is about 13 miles south of our base in Van Nuys. We schedule visits across the city, including ZIP codes 90002, 90003, 90004, 90005, 90006, 90007, 90008, 90010, 90011 and 90012. We also serve nearby Culver City, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood and Burbank.
Many homes in these neighborhoods have tight kitchens, built-in cabinetry or ranges set into stone countertops. We bring protective covers and plan for limited space when a range has to slide out for service. If your building has loading or parking rules, let us know when you book so the technician can plan around them.
Repair or replace?
Pro-style ranges are usually worth repairing. Burners, igniters, valves, elements, fans and sensors are replaceable, and the heavy cabinet, cooktop and oven cavity rarely wear out. Replacement makes more sense if a model's key parts are no longer available or if the oven cavity or cooktop is badly damaged. We'll tell you plainly which situation you're in after the diagnosis.
